Joy in Grandparents heart, is the way I felt during our July 4th festivities. When all our nation was celebrating our countries Independence, I too was celebrating with our family and friends who had traveled to my daughter and son-in-law's home from several states!
Our son surprised us by driving up from Houston! In fact, there were 33 of us eating, laughing and just enjoying a day of patriotism, enthusiasm and love of family!
Many of you may have heard the old Gospel Hymn, "I've got Joy, Joy, Joy in my Heart" that I sang growing up in my hometown of Honey Grove, Texas at the McKenzie United Methodist Church.
That really is a feeling you get when you see your children, grandchildren, and extended family and their friends enjoying food and fellowship together on such a special day!
Friends and family gathered to celebrate July 4th, Independence Day!
Flags surround us!
Also, the twins first "Play Day" with many family and friends!
I felt a joy in my heart the day I watched the twins have their first real "Play Day" with other children.
As preemies and all infants, parents are encouraged to be very careful when visiting with other children and adults so not to pick up any infections. Use hand sanitizers whenever you are going to pick up the boys. We always wash our hands even now before we pick up the boys.
...that's what little Boys are made of!
Thinking about all the excitement from our twins birth this past year, we are so excited to soon celebrate their first birthday!
My daughter has asked to have the party at our house. This is
exciting! I told her that we need to discuss plans soon so we can
start making decisions on the invites, the food preparation, and the
theme of the event.
Will share all the specifics of this exciting day as the time draws near!
So much fun watching babies eat "smash cakes" during their first birthday party!
