"The Baby Shower recipes were delicious!" That was the overall comments heard from our guests throughout the afternoon! So I thought I would share some of these recipes with you. I will be compiling an eBook on recipes for Baby Showers or special parties and events and will be happy to share all these tips with you in the future!
If you aren't a party planner, you may have questions on where to begin!
Decisions on what Baby Shower Recipes to prepare and the amount of food to buy should be based on the number of men, women and kids that are going to be attending the baby shower.
So if you have favorite recipe that you have enjoyed at special events or a friend that has a great dip recipe, call and ask to use it! All of those would be appropriate to serve. Consider sharing those delicious appetizers with our readers.

Our event was held on a very hot August afternoon from 2:00-5:00. There were 48 people (men, women and a few kids) in attendance.
So I had to really think about the food and the baby food recipes that I was preparing for the event and most importantly, make sure there was enough food for all!
The preparation and cooking took several days. Many recipes were from our Rogers' Family Cookbook compiled in 2007 for our family reunion and various other special
cookbooks that I have purchased through the years. I decided to prepare the following recipes of various appetizers, candy and desserts:
As people arrived, relax and enjoy the event! It is so much fun to see your kids interacting with their friends about their pregnancy and future babies!
This is a recipe that we often have had at family and holiday parties, baby showers and even a grand opening of a library. It is known as the "Best Punch Recipe Ever!" This recipe has been doubled, tripled and quadrupled to make enough for the gathering!
One of my good friends that I met while working at Raytheon, Donna Maestas from McKinney, shared this recipe with me years ago and I think of her each time I make it! It is scrumptiously and refreshingly delicious!
Best Punch Recipe Ever 1 46 oz can unsweetened pineapple juice 1 46 oz can apricot nectar 3 6 0z cans frozen lemonade, thawed and undiluted 4 10 oz bottles ginger ale ![]() |
This is a pretty punch with an ice ring made with juice and slices of fruit (oranges and maraschino cherries). Makes 5 quarts. Delicious! Enjoy! |
